We offer a Biblically based, Christ-centered education for our students that is second to none. We seek to nurture each child’s talents, and challenge them to fulfill the destiny that God has for them.
We value reading, writing, arithmetic. We also value reverence, respect and responsibility. We are committed to conducting every interaction in the Fruit of the Spirit. We emphasize the importance building character traits that include love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, diligence and responsibility.
CURRICULUM
In Preschool through 7th grade our primary curriculum is A Beka. We also use Bob Jones, Positive Action for Christ, ACSI, Shurley English, Scott Foresman and Glencoe. We have fine- tuned the combination of curriculum sources to give each teacher at each grade level the best tools possible for meeting the students’ academic needs.
COURSES
Shoreline Christian School offers a very solid core curriculum including Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, but we also focus daily on Bible and Scripture Memory. Students participate in Chapel each week. They also receive instruction in Computers, Music, and PE. Band is available in grades 5 through 7.
BARNABAS BUDDIES
Our weekly Barnabas Buddies Program has proven to be very popular at Shoreline. Children in our older classes partner with younger students for various high-interest activities. We see the students develop strong relationships with children older and/or younger than themselves. They develop great leadership skills. They also develop a real sense of responsibility for caring for the needs of others.
